part 2....

my saga continues. tonight was open house at school so i just ended up staying after work until open house was over. i got home a little after 9 and as i got out of my car i noticed something sitting by the garage. i kept straining to see what it was as i went to put on my flip flops that were in my trunk. i couldn't really see too well because there really isn't a light there, so i kept unlocking my doors to have my headlights flash (i am sure if the neighbors saw me they'd think i was batty). what i saw looked like a big cat, but it wasn't moving. at all. so i threw my shoes (not at it...but so it made a loud noise..). nothing again. i thought it maybe was a duck (??) or maybe beck decided to cut down a bush that was there...or maybe beck's nephew put some paint cans out there or it was his tennis shoes or something...but it was a but was large. so i hurried by it and was really hoping it wouldn't attack my exposed legs as i scurried by. i went in and told beck there was something out by the garage but i couldn't tell what it was. she says nonchalantly "oh, it is a hawk that ben thinks is dying." ...a hawk! a big hawk (it is probably a standard sized hawk, but i haven't seen on in real life before and it looked big...i shudder at the thought of its talons...) i guess ben had been there about 45 minutes before me and took a picture of the hawk...and it was still sitting in the same position. it had not moved at all. so then we called d. he came over and looked at it and took a picture and then got a fishing pole to see if he put it next to it if it would move. ...i wanted him to poke it, but he wouldn't. he said that it moved over a little bit but he thinks it is dying. so we called animal control. waste of time. they said it isn't dangerous (they don't have to walk by it!) and not to worry about it (what happens after it dies?!) and we could call the department of natural resources. so i called them and they gave me another number to call in the morning, but they wouldn't commit to anything. so for now the hawk is sitting outside. waiting. here is my theory....it is only playing sick but it really has an evil plan and now that our defenses are down and no one will help us, it is going to get me in the morning. you know why??? the wasp sent it.
