hi world.
life has been crazy with a capital "c".... i have been "moving" for about a week now and in reality it is just me sleeping at b's house and hanging my clothes in the closet here. i need to get the rest of my stuff out of my apt. by next saturday...but this week b is getting new floors (including carpet in my room)... and i have to work (insert slightly irritated r-face here) one day next week. there is just a lot going on.
my (new) room used to be yellow. it is now a very very pretty dusty blue color which matches my new beautiful comforter from macys. b and i were going to paint (really...? me and b painting?!) but instead she got her nephew to paint the room and to paint the other rooms upstairs. he did an amazing job and i love the color (and the fact *i* didn't have to try to paint it!)
ugh. tomorrow i have an eye apt. at 9:45..seriously, what was i thinking?? (see k, it is a crisis!)
hmm... what else.... summer school is over and i have next week off before pre-planning on the 10th. i currently have 18 students in 7/8 grade (last year i had 14) and 20 kids in 5/6 grade (last year i had 8)... they are going to tear down a wall in my room to make it bigger. i am SO geeked up about that!! :)
i suppose that is about it for now... :)

yesterday started with....today started with....
yesterday was a stinky bad day. it all started with a spider on my passenger mirror...and holding on for dear life no matter how fast i went and then because i was distracted by it.... i hit the curb.
today was a much better day. today started with johnny cash and running over a rat with my car.
ipod got a facebook!!! we are already friends.
i had my eye appointment today. my head is super ache-y and the contacts feel funny in my eyes. they are different than my usual contacts. these are mega contacts that don't cause me to squint in order to see clearly. i have to go back next weekend for a follow up appointment. i am going to get some glasses too... i need a pair just in case.
i bought banana walnut bread while i was at target. i am not all betty crocker like aem... i don't make baked goods...i have to buy them. i also bought 2 frames for my "movie star" pictures of grandma and grandpa from when they were younger.
i should eat some dinner... maybe some banana walnut bread... that could be good... :)

wonderful day....
today was a really great day.
it started this morning with my hair looking really good. the humidity does nothing for my hair no matter what kind of product i put in it...and on top of that my hair is getting longer and more bell-shaped...so it is near impossible to have good hair...but today i had really good hair. i went to target to pick up toilet paper, which i forgot to buy yesterday while there and i made an eye appointment which has been LONG overdue. so wednesday i will be getting my eyes checked and getting the right kind of contacts that i need and new ones that aren't 10 months old. after that i went to staples to get some posters laminated for this fall and the girl was very helpful and gave me a teacher's discount and didn't charge me to trim the posters...which really was great! i pick those up tomorrow.... from there i decided i was going to find panera...no matter what. i found it...it was pretty easy and did not take long at all. AND to my surprise it was located in this really nice outdoor mall called "the avenue". so i ate at panera (broccoli cheese soup in bread bowl!) and from there i went to barnes & noble (my love!). i ended up walking around for an hour just looking at everything and bought a really cool book about unusual places in america and a big question and answer book...both for my classroom and a "where's waldo" 2010 calendar...also for my classroom. after b & n i went to pier one and hallmark and then came home. it was just the perfect day...the weather was gorgeous....people were friendly...i had good hair...it was just delightful. :)
now i am home and i am washing all of my kitchen items because they have a new home. next weekend i am meeting up with aem (which some of the stuff was hers to begin with) to pass off all of my items that i am not taking with me to becks. i am so so so happy that all of my items will have a home and that the girls (aem, hlb, and smp) will hopefully be helped out some. i am not sad to part with my things....i am happy they will be used and aren't just going to goodwill.
summer school--one week down--two to go. {{sigh}} i have one boy that is learning and one boy that is who knows what. he frustrates me. i have to really try not to let him know that he is frustrating me. i don't know how much they are actually retaining...but i am doing the best i can with the time i have to do it in... it is what it is.

beavis and butthead
i love calling the police. i called them today on my way home from teaching summer school. i am driving (and talking to my mom on the phone) down maroney mill (which is kinda curvy) and these two hoodlums on skateboards are in the middle of both lanes on the road. and they are not moving over....instead they choose to take up more of the road. i am now making comments (while still on the phone with my mom) like 'move already!' and they are not moving.... and the part of the road where this was occurring has kind of a blind curve..... so i am in the oncoming lane trying to maneuver around beavis and butthead and here comes a truck...so i got back over quickly. the truck honked at beavis and beavis waved with a very unkind finger. i got past these teenagers and they went back to the middle of the road blocking other kinds of traffic. my mom says "call the police!!" and i said "i am going to do that now!!" luckily, i had saved the d. county sheriff's office number in my phone after i locked my keys in the car (and they were very very nice about helping!!!) so i called and reported beavis and butthead. the dispatcher was going to send someone over to take care of it. it would have been one thing if they just would have moved over....but they didn't.

interested survival
i am back in georgia and i am getting ready to start summer school on monday. i am not looking forward to it and have lots of thoughts on the issue...but there is nothing that can be done about it... i am sure the boys aren't looking forward to it either...
i found out today that my 8th grade class (last year's 7th)...all of the students are re-enrolled..all 10 of them and i currently have 2 more 8th graders enrolled and will have 3 7th graders. that make a class of 15. i was at capacity last year at 14...so i am hoping they tear down a dividing wall in my room and make it bigger (which can easily be done) because i am going to need the space....
in other news, i finally super glued my "alt" key down. hopefully the other keys noticed and won't get any crazy ideas about falling off in search of freedom. >:S
